Gardening as Therapeutic Art Form
At Renaissance EarthWorks, we take a client-led and collaborative view of each new garden as a medium for creative and therapeutic self-expression. Our guidance extends beyond plant recommendations, layout, and selection to the design and construction of sculptural elements, seating, pergolas, plant supports, arches, and walls using hand-selected living, natural, and handcrafted materials. As the landscape plan emerges, our clients are asked to engage their head, hands, and heart fully in the project, to maximize the physical and therapeutic value found both in the creative process and in working with nature. The result is an evolving and unique artistic garden, or "earthwork," that represents the personalized vision of each client in a mutually nourishing relationship.
